During the winter months of our second lockdown in Ontario due to Covid-19, I found myself yearning for a project, or basically anything that could inspire. I have always been someone who wants to make people feel good!
Sharing love and positivity, as cheesy as it may be. has always been my love language.
One common sentiment that kept coming up during this time was that people were feeling caged up and ready to let loose, embrace themselves, their sexuality, their bodies and their autonomy. This felt like the perfect time to delve into Misfit. Creating a local brand that was exclusively produced for bigger bodies, by someone who lives her life in a bigger body, but never let it get in the way of being exactly who I wanted to be!
Shopping local and supporting the community has always been true to my heart. All of our products are lovingly and ethically designed and made in Toronto, Canada.
Misfit was essentially born out of the desire to make people feel FUCKING amazing, cause I truly believe that when you feel good in your body from the first thing you put on in the morning this is what will carry you through your day and life.
